At DMC Consulting Services we specialise in supporting individuals with ADHD and who may present challenging behaviours. Our highly trained staff are knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with all kinds of behaviours.
THE RIGHT SUPPORT AT THE RIGHT TIME
We liaise with specialists and have our very own PBS practitioner employed on site. We give the right support at the right time, so people can fulfil their potential. We believe that all behaviours have meaning, and we aim to understand them so we can meet the person’s needs in the best way. This often means changing their support systems and we work closely with everyone involved with regular reviews to ensure we achieve this.
CHALLENGING BEHAVIOURS
At DMC Consulting Services, we don’t judge how other people may communicate their needs, views, feelings, and emotions as a result of what is happening around them. Through structured activities, consistent and robust positive behaviour support and risk management plans, we ensure that people with challenging behaviours can access opportunities to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. We understand the importance of collaborative partnerships and that's why we work closely with other professionals so we can develop a care plan which looks at the whole person and doesn't just focus on their diagnosis.
ADHD
We know that if you have ADHD you’re more likely to experience a mental health problem. Evidence shows that anxiety, depression, conduct disorder, substance abuse, and sleep problems are all more common with people who have ADHD.
We support our service users by making referrals so that they can access therapy sessions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help cope with the struggles of daily life thus enhancing quality of life.
We provide accredited training programmes to our staff which include None Crisis Intervention (NCI), which provides our staff with the knowledge and skills required to respond early and effectively to prevent or defuse behavioural escalation.
